Contact · Studio 12G

The best shoot you’ll ever have is the one you don’t attend.

Write a line. Ring the studio. Or address a parcel to the twelfth floor. However it begins, it ends the same way — your goods home again, and the frames that sell them waiting in a folder.

Call sheet

Every question has a line it travels best on.

A quote wants an email. A cracked glaze wants a phone call. The goods themselves want a box and a courier. Pick the one that fits, and it reaches the same two hands.

Best for

A quick yes or no on a fragile piece. A rush date before a launch. A question you’d rather say than spell.

Quotes and packing slips. A phone photo of the goods. Anything you want written down and kept.

The box itself — tracked, insured, project number on the outside. Write before you ship, so a shelf is waiting.

Pieces too precious for a parcel van. Ring ahead and we’ll be at the door, not at the strobes.

The first email

Write the first line. We’ll write the second.

A sentence is plenty. You’ll hear back with a project number, a packing slip, and a ship-by date — usually before the next working day is out.

Circled on the contact sheet of a good first email:

  1. What you make, in a phrase.“Hand-thrown mugs.” “Brass hoop earrings.” That’s enough to plan the light.

  2. How many, and how many colorways.Six products in three glazes is eighteen decisions. We like to know early.

  3. Which set — or “not sure.”Window, Storefront, Arcade, The Whole Lane. Unsure is an answer too.

  4. One phone photo.Bad light is fine. We’re reading size, shine, and how it sits.

  5. Anything that mustn’t be touched.A wax seal, a raw edge, a patina you earned. Say so, and it stays.

Studio hours · Eastern time

When the door buzzes.

Five days lit. Two days dark. The strobes keep office hours, and so do we.

It’s 8:07pm in New York. Closed for the night — back at 8:30am.

Before noon

The east window is working. We shoot lifestyle sets then, so a call might ring through to voicemail. It gets returned the same day.

After noon

Shade down, strobes up, sweep lit. The best hours to ring — we’re at the table, not the window.

Weekends

No parcels signed for. Emails wait politely until Monday at 8:30am. Ship mid-week so nothing sits in a lobby.
